When is Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam coming out for PC?
Bad Company 2 was a bad azz game. It's way better than MW2 %26amp; Black Ops. I heard it they are coming out with Bad Company 2 Vietnam and I saw a little bit of it and it looks pretty cool. But I can't find anywhere when it comes out. All I found was that it comes out "late in the winter of this year." If you are used to playing fast paced games like Call of Duty, Bad Company 2 can be a shock as it is quite a bit slower, and more realistic. Remember these pointers, and you should do a little better;
* Fire in bursts unless using a LMG (medic gun- accuracy actually increases with sustained fire)
* Spot (Q on the PC, Select button on PS3). A lot. You can get loads of points just by spotting for your team.
* Heal, revive, replenish ammo and repair vehicles. This requires no skill, and can rake in points.
* You might find it useful to play as an engineer to begin with. Their primary weapon (SMG) isn't particularly powerful, but the RPG is (and does not require much skill to use). I've been wondering, which one is more fun and better, Battlefield Bad company 2 or Modern Warfare 2?Is Battlefield Bad Company 2 better than Modern Warfare 2?
I have only played the single player for MW2,and it was fun.I did not buy MW2 because everything I have learned about the multiplayer for pc turned me off from buying the game,so yeah,I pirated it just to play the single player.But BBC2 I pre-ordered after watching a couple of videos on Youtube,and learning it would have all the good stuff a multiplayer game on the pc should have(mostly dedicated server support).I have played a few hours of the multiplayer,which is better than cod4,because of things like destructible environments,and the audio in both online and single player is by far the best audio I've heard in a game so far.I am going through the single player right now,and although it is linear,it has been very fun so far,and even though MW2 single player was fun,bbc2's single player is a lot more inventive,such as a level where you have to snipe guards when there is a thunder clap,there's a tank mission where you drive a tank,there's a level where you have to run from fire to fire in the arctic cold to keep from dying from hypothermia,plus you find a crap load of really awesome modern weapons.So obviously I have to say that bbc2 beats the modern warfare games by miles,and that's saying a lot,because the modern warfare games are still pretty good,but bbc2 does some new and interesting things.

i think bad company 2 is better. why? because alot of people play modern warfare 2 and after a while (please dont take offence) it gets boring and repetitive but ever shooter is repetetive. but bad company 2 has destructable environments, and a great storyline. dont get me wrong, so does mw2. but battlefield has squads, objectives, taking bases, and alot more. i would go with bc2 but mw2 is just as great.

Maybe it needs to update. Perhaps it was a very uncommon game type, such as squad rush on hardcore and there weren't any games playing. Try restarting your console.

If you're into tactical shooters in which you have to think things through, then I would suggest Rainbow Six Vegas 2. If you like blowing stuff up for the hell of it then get Battlefield: Bad Company. I have played both games and both are equally fun. Battlefield has a more humorous tone and online and offline mode are awesome. I play Rainbow Six Vegas 2 more offline though and is real challenging in realistic mode, and there are unlockables and customization options that would make you play the game at least twice.

I assume you are using the PC version of Bad Company 2? if so, then yes you can, though there have been some reports that it has been acting up in the past, but that tends to be with all games in one form or another.
i am unsure if the PC version works like the console version but if it does, be sure to buy the Ultimate edition or buy the regular one and download "Onslaught" mode. Onslaught allows you and 3 other friends to battle it out in land sea and air against waves of AI opponents.

I was just wondering how you ranked up in Battlefield 2, I play Modern Warfare 2 and I felt like a change to Battlefield. The ranking system in BFBC2 is really straightforward an very similar to MW2 or any other CoD games.
You have 4 kits: Assault,Engineer,Medic and Recon.
To rank up you need to gain XP to a specific level for you to rank up. Some kits help you gain XP quicker, and I found that whilst playing Medic and Assault, I seemed to rank up faster.
At the end of every match it tells you how much XP you have earned, and how much is needed to rank up to the your next rank. My friend who works at Official Playstation Magazine Australia gave me one of his preview codes for black ops... You can drive a hind in the campaign... and black ops will have zombies, most people hated World at War because they hate World War games, and one of the only reasons people bought it was because of the zombies. Even though I hate Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and any other company associated with Call of Duty games, Treyarch isnt dumb. The zombie maps from CoD5 have been confirmed in Black ops with the Hardened and Prestige Editions... and im 99.99999% sure that, unless they really are THAT stupid, Treyarch is going to make new zombie levels...

As far as I'm aware Black Ops will indeed bring back zombies. that shouldn't be a purchase defining decision though. but to each their own i suppose. it depends on how well you enjoyed COD:MW and COD:MW2. personally I loved the first modern warfare, and completely hated the online (xbox) component in modern warfare 2, if you felt the same as i did about the last installment in the series you may want to lean towards BC2. i picked up BC 2 and absolutely loved everything about the campaign and online, stellar visuals, great sound and production value. though i will agree with the previous post because i haven't played in a while finding a game could be difficult, and the online is much more difficult compared to the play style of a COD game (opinion).
Umm.....I would just get Black Ops. My reasoning is because Call Of duty is a better known franchise and you will probably have better online play experience. Just getting a game or not getting a game because of "lack of zombies" is your reasoning, then I don't know what to tell you. There's a lot more to a game then just its content. I think Call Of Duty Black Ops will have better graphics, better online play, better controls and an overall better experience.
I say black ops. Bc2 is a great game but with Black Ops and Medal of Honor coming out soon the Bc2 online community is going to go down a lot. And give Medal of Honor a look the same people that made the Bc2 are making the Medal of Honor online.
Zombies? Get Dead Rising 2 or Left4Dead...
Anyway, I'm only talking PC here - I find plenty of nicely filled servers for BB2 around the clock so there are enough people still playing. It looks great and I'd recommend getting it and then the Vietnam restart/expansion/whatever :D

It's a very different game to cod!
Cod is allot more fast paced, and a bit mental often, with helicopters and nukes just falling everywhere, with everyone sprinting around etc.
It's allot of fun, but I prefer Battlefield!
Battlefield has much larger maps, and destructible environments, this means that allot more interesting tactics can be used etc, as with the squad system and different classes having special abilities (medics can heal etc), the players who think about what they're doing, and play skillfully with a mind to tactics etc, can win, not just the player who can quick scope or head shot every time.
The graphics are allot nicer as well, which may not bother you, but I like them!
Along with this, it's allot more realistic, the guns recoil properly, and smoke screens etc actually work, along with dust from falling buildings obscuring your vision, this makes for a much more intense experience, and after playing for a while, I find cod to feel a bit sterile!
Another nice feature, is that the guns are not 100% accurate, and as such allot more realistic, the bullets have spread, and take time to reach a target, this makes the sniping etc VERY satisfying, it takes real skill to hit UAV 1000m away!
There is also vehicles, there are tanks, jeeps, quad bikes and helicopters (lots of different types of each), these can be fun!
There are no kill streaks, which I like, since they just `make the rich richer` in cod, and don't actually work very well. But you can get mortar strikes etc, if you get the unlock for them, the game is allot more balanced for this.
I moved to Battlefield, and it's so much better than cod!

Get BC2. I've been playing Battlefield since 1942 came out in 2002 and I've played every COD short of MW1 and W@W. The difference is multiplayer. COD is a decent run and gun FPS. Battlefield had always been a conquest multiplayer game until BC1 came out 2 yrs ago when the developed the new game "rush" which I really enjoy. Run and gun is ok, but gets old quick since about every FPS multiplayer game offers deathmatch, capture the flag, or team deathmatch. At least with BC2 you will be offered some new types of gameplay with rush, conquest, squad rush, and squad deathmatch. The vehicles add a lot of fun to the game. They've got powerful guns, but are not indestructible so they can't dominate the field with a newbie in it. The squads on BF add a real good touch to multiplayer since you can work as a team with other, hopefully the got mics and talk. It also lets you spawn in the battle instead of at set spawn points where campers usually wait for cheap kills. Anyways, I can't really offer you anyother evidence but just an opinion, but it has already received a 9.5 from GameInformer on an early review... MW2 got a 9.25 from the same magazine.

In really depends on your gaming style, always join a squad, if you are in one and spawn on them when they are on the front lines, spawn back at the starting area! Normally use Recon and pick off enemies :) if your assault your job is to be a all round soldier :P! this means you will die.

So i just bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 for my computer with a walmart giftcard that i got for my birthday. Every time i try to play it is really slow and choppy. Even when i play on multiplayer.

Personally, I think Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is better. Why? Well, I've played the demo and gives you a way more tactical and teamwork experience. You need to teamwork to be successful, and if you go in lone-wolf, you'll fail. Every team can have up to three 4-player squads, and if atleast one person is a medic, and you're using teamwork, then it's going to be really fun.
In Modern Warfare 2, it requires no teamwork at all, filled with boosters, and not that realistic. Bad Company 2 on the other hand, gives you a more tactical and realistic feel, while Modern Warfare 2 is an Arcade Shooter. It also includes HUGE maps and vehicles.
If you like almost-realistic, squad-based, huge multiplayer maps, and vehicles, Bad Company 2 is good for you.
If you like Rushy Arcade Shooters, then I wouldn't get it if I were you.
If you are going to get Bad Company 2, here are a few tips:

BF2 was better than COD 3 if not for the airplane balance issue.
BC2 is better than MW2, and its because BC2 is MUCH better than BC1 while MW2 is a slight improvement.
Both games are good, I would get BC2 AND GOW 3, but if you already have MW2 then just get GOW3 to switch game types.

My Xbox had the same problem. i tryied later and i actually got on but once the map finished loading the xbox went from the game to the main menu screen. I dont know whats wrong but i think a patch will come out soon to fix it. (hopefully)
My Xbox had the same problem. i tryied later and i actually got on but once the map finished loading the xbox went from the game to the main menu screen. I dont know whats wrong but i think a patch will come out soon to fix it. (hopefully)

Hey guys, I have a question on Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam for Xbox 360. I have VIP and when I play Bad Company 2 they said, download Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam... I just bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for my PC. While installing, it tells me to "..enter the entire Registration Code found either in your confirmation email, your game manual/product packaging, or game card." I enter the code on the back of the manual above the EA Cheat Code and Game Hints ad, and it tells me that the Registration Code is invalid and that I can't complete registration until I have a valid code. Sound problems with battlefield bad company 2?
I have battlefield bad company 2 on my computer and whenever I play it, its like all the sound went to the right side of my headphones or speakers, it doesn't do that with any of my other games, the rest of the game runs fine its just that one problem that bothers me, so can any body tell what is wrong and do any of you have the same problem?Sound problems with battlefield bad company 2?
same problem happens to me, it is a motherboard driver fault. my hardware is gigabyte ep45 ud3r which has multiple driver faults that are unfixed to date. also I use G35 headset which is a USB headset.
I noticed that when I reboot the PC the sound will be coming out of both sides in BC2. but it will be only right sided if i start the game when the PC was in sleep mode so I end up rebooting and problem solved.
the other option is to disable the sound driver form BIOS but that requires a USB headphones to get sound. 3.5 mm headset jack does not work with disabled sound driver.

It really depends on your play style. If you want a more realistic warfare shooter, complete with vehicles, go for Bad Company 2. If you are looking for a much more arcade styled experience, CoD4 is your game. :-)

BFBC2 is more realistic but i like the call of duty series. If you asked BFBC2 or MW2 i would have said MW2. Call Of Duty is more fun in my opinion. The reason i don't like BFBC2 is because it has massive maps which mean it's hard to find enemy. If you like more action i would recommend Call Of Duty Modern Warfare.

mw1 i played both and mw1 is the best game i played in my opinion
It really depends on your play style. If you want a more realistic warfare shooter, complete with vehicles, go for Bad Company 2. If you are looking for a much more arcade styled experience, CoD4 is your game. :-)

BFBC2 is more realistic but i like the call of duty series. If you asked BFBC2 or MW2 i would have said MW2. Call Of Duty is more fun in my opinion. The reason i don't like BFBC2 is because it has massive maps which mean it's hard to find enemy. If you like more action i would recommend Call Of Duty Modern Warfare.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 not working properly?
I bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 yesterday for the PC and I downloaded it successfully. When I go to play it the game loads up like it should and my monitor goes black for about 20 seconds, but after those 20 seconds the black screen just goes away and my desktop appears again.There is no error message that appears at all. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I fix it? And Do I need Bad Company in order to play Bad Company 2?

second to yours and the others guys.. Trittons and Skull Candys are the worst.. and sadly tritton is better of the two! Honestly get you a pair of Turtle Beachs ... ether the X1's or X11's. Less than 100$ especially on amazon.com

But there aint as much mayhem as in say, mw2. I mean YES my headset has saved me from a guy trying to knife me, and a few times it helped when i was hearing were exactly there where shooting/coming from... but there such big maps.. rarely are you's ever really close to each other.
Like i said its not so helpfull as compared to other games.. it does help on occasion, but you'll notice a big difference in talking to teams, and when it does come in hand you'll thank it.

You will unlock them all eventually in the normal version but depending on how long you can play each night could mean weeks or months pass before you can select them from your load out. The PC version tracer dart unlock is quite high at 9 or 10 (was originally 12) and will probably be the most wanted unlock of them all whereas on the PS3 it unlocks within hours at level 2.
Whether or not you really want them is a question of how you intend to play the game. It heavily relies on teamwork and if a member in your squad has the unlocked items then there is no real use in you having them. I think it is important to know your maps in Halo, however not as much in BFBC2.
Halo has a rather linear gameplay. People spawn, run to the nearest rocket/sword/sniper/etc. and the killfest begins. This makes it important to know where said weapons are so you can fight over those and know what paths people will take to get them. However, in BFBC2, there is no competition for certain parts of the map because there is no one place that both teams can get to that spawns an overly powered weapons or vehicle. People go all over the maps.
Also, due to the size of BFBC2, you would probably drive yourself nuts trying to memorize every little building that every sniper tries to hide in on every map ;PIs it really important to know your maps in battlefield bad company 2 and halo?

People go all over the maps.

in battlefield bad company 2 knowing the maps gives you a huge advantage. if you know ware snipers like to hide or ware you can rocket tanks with out being sean then you will do better then every one ells. same with halo or cod
